We travelled down to Wales for a short 4 day break. We stayed in my workmates cottage called Ty Mawr near the village of
Nantmor, this little place was in the middle of nowhere. The cottage was right up a large Hill (mountain) with massive summits all around. Its about 5 miles from
Snowdon, and 2 miles from
Moel Hebog. We went to do some climbing but the weather was very grim so we decided just to have some low level walks and do some travelling in the car. We went into the
Lleyn Peninsula and done a complete circuit around the spit of land, they all talk welsh in this part with very little English being spoken. One of the best finds was a little village called
Morfa Nefyn and the small bit of land to the north called Porthdinllean where you will find a golf course and a little beach with a pub on it called the
Ty Coch inn. Also a great find was the village by the sea called
Criccieth which has a large
castle on the hill overlooking it
