Staines to hampton Court

The Ferry across the Thames

This was a great 12 mile hard walk in 30deg heat along the river thames from Hampton Court to Staines. We drove down to Hampton Court Train Station and parked there, its £6 on a weekend you can pay using Ringo on your Mobile Phone. To get to Staines took a bit of planning and for this we used the Great App Citymappe, this will plan all your London area journeys by Bus, Train, walking etc. Please Click this link to View page.

Richmond to Hampton Court

Untitled

Walk number 5 down the river Thames and nearly 50miles done, however a long way to go yet !. Another section of the River Thames walked on the first day of April. We drove down to Hampton court station and parked the car up for the day for £6 - on a Sunday you can park for just £2. We found the easiest way to get to Richmond the start of the walk was by public transport, just take the train to Clapham Junction then change trains to Richmond using South West trains cost about £4 on the Oyster card.

Chelsea Harbour to Wapping

London Thames path
This route down the Thames proved to be one of the best London walks we have done to date, it takes in breathtaking views with lots of historic sites, we just wished it was a little warmer.

We set off on one of the coldest days of the winter so far. We wrapped up warm for this 9 mile trip following the river Thames path starting at Chelsea Harbour, the easiest way to get here is by the London Overground and head towards Imperial Wharf station.
