A classic walk and all on the flat for a change, on the hottest day this year it was still hard work. The title for this walk is “Where the war started”, we passed the house in a village called Sutton Courtenay the place where the PM Herbert Asquith signed the order declaring war on Germany

This walk was started in the Old Cotswolds town of Chipping Campden (map) and involved a Ten mile hike through the lovely hills, taking in Broadway Tower (map) and loads of other things of interest. The route has a few steep hills and the first of the climbs was Dover's hill at 230m --- The view more please click this link.
A 9.03 mile walk around the reservoir, it was good to finally get out and about after xmas, but due to the large amount of rain we needed somewhere on the flat to take a walk out. Its only about 35 min up the road and with plenty of parking (£3 all day ) Grafham water made an ideal start. Please click this link to View page.
This was a walk around the cotswolds town of Chipping Norton (Map loc) and across the rolling fields towards the Rollright Stones and the little villages of Salford and Little Rollright. A Total of about 8.8m with some hills but a nice trek out in great weather.
