Foxton Locks
05/06/10 19:05 Filed in: Great Outdoors | Canals
Made our way to Foxton locks, this staircase of locks just has to be seen . Foxton's famous staircase lock flight was built in 1810. A masterpiece of 19th century engineering, it raised boats a massive 75ft up the hill from Market Harborough and linked the north and south of England by canal. Only a hour and half from deanshanger and the car park is just £2.00 you will also find a little pub and is a greta place to take a picnic , etc. Please have a look at the photos and the video i took whilst there.
