Many thanks for visiting the Canvins web site. A local family in the village of Deanshanger Northants this is just a site showing our latest events and other things we get up to. My Hobbies include keeping fit, Taking photos and movies and Mountain biking. We also get out walking and spend a lot of our time in National trust properties and park land. The events section will show family events including Birthdays etc, also you will find trips out in here. Our walks will show some of our treks through some of the Uk.'s most beautiful places including the Lake District, Peak District and to the top of the highest peaks in England, Scotland and wales.

Greenwich London 2015

Greenwich London
Another trip to London on a lovely September day with visits to Greenwich, the naval museum , the Royal Observatory , the Greenwich foot tunnel then along the thames path to the Thames Barrier. Had a good time and took some photos that i am pleased with & posted to Flickr have a look.

Harry Canvin 1928 - 2015


It is with great sadness we have to announce the passing of Harry Canvin on the 24th August 2015. Harry had a vast knowledge of the village and held a great photo collection of family members and village life, he was also a keen historian being particularly keen on WW1. He we be sadly missed by all the family R.I.P

2015 North Western Fells 18th August

The aim of this trip was to complete A.Wainwrights book six the North Western fells a journey we started way back in 2011 with our first ever fell Cat Bells near to Keswick. Although we have climbed fells in other parts of the lakes covered by alternative Wainwrights this is an area we both know very well and had to finish
