Many thanks for visiting the Canvins web site. A local family in the village of Deanshanger Northants this is just a site showing our latest events and other things we get up to. My Hobbies include keeping fit, Taking photos and movies and Mountain biking. We also get out walking and spend a lot of our time in National trust properties and park land. The events section will show family events including Birthdays etc, also you will find trips out in here. Our walks will show some of our treks through some of the Uk.'s most beautiful places including the Lake District, Peak District and to the top of the highest peaks in England, Scotland and wales.

The Silverstone Half Marathon 15th March 2015


I completed the Silverstone half Marathon in aid of Cystic Fibrosis today. Many thanks for all the donations and goodwill messages, we have made over £600 and this money will be going towards the CFTrust to aid research into this horrible condition.

Canterbury & the cathedral


A great trip to Canterbury and a visit to the Cathedral and the city. the weather was not bad so we went away for the weekend and visited the old city of canterbury

In January we will be starting the long walk along the Grand union Canal back to Deanshanger, this page is the log of the travels we will be making. From London to Deanshanger the canal branched off into 6 separate arms they are the Paddington Arm - Regents (Thames) - Brentford (Thames) - Slough - Wendover - Aylesbury - and Buckingham. the Regents Canal

We fancied somewhere to go on a Cold January so we decided on a trip through the Cotswolds into the Town of Tewkesbury and a visit to the Abbey
